Now if it has happened to you
That we sit down in speech for food
You and me together in company
Then let me tell you
What I need to believe
That either you
Have by this time already been
Wondering about the police who admire
Me so much as to watch
Over day and night
Without respite
Than in wonderment we might together rejoin
Or
Perhaps you were forewarned by them
And will be making reports back my friend
To provide for their needs
In that their fact in deed
Is of fear too large to
Know what is real for you
Who can sit with me to eat
Or
Perhaps it might turn out to be
That you indeed are one of the police
Yet one somewhat braver than they among
Whom had wished upon
What you might become to be their own
Whom realise
That in their own minds
Police are already to corrupted by
The methodology in which police have conspired
To accuse to cause
That crime provides
Criminals to catch and defy
So
Believe of me than no accusation crossed mine
Nor any of those whose own minds
Just never can be made alike
And have never once accused is my
Reason to sit down and eat to find
For my evidence is life
My will not any policeman’s to buy
And my love my own to know why
While
My own preference to believe
In each and every day awakening to keep breathing
Is that perhaps today
The strangeness of strange lives
And all other folks real crimes
Means that police have been by need
On their best duty
In which unusually
Less observant of me
That some respite of body
Repays my mind
For their concentrations upon it
Thereby
If you sit down with me to eat
At any place perhaps the seat
Find your own way to breath the life
Of one whose innocence in birthright
Has been wrongly policed
That must you pray that police might
Never your own needs undermine
