Our Mythos Plight
Science fiction, Fact, or Fantasy
This is the story of the mythos in the air
About a cop
Named here “h”-bone I dare
Whose own story well known
Be never for me to tell in this tome
Yet that he be
A spy of sorts and a chief
Who went on walkabout brief
Where upon has he found out
That biological regulation is what this is all about
For how our
Indigenous patterned physiology
Here in this land Australia
Manages best
Our conscience
Has quite an unusual sensible focus
For of flora and fauna abound
Our brains become well renown
In ability of Spirituality
To perceive reality’s ground
Despite the many variety
Of interdependent biology
Determined always among us sociologically
Thus
Believe of us
That we’ve found a great substance
Of hilarity rare and proud
In what old h-bone
The policeman unknown
Has found his mind defining
Of our credibility undermining
Yet never our own method or means
But just his reflection indeed
Was that he conspired to believe
That us Aborigines
Are hiding one great giant spy ring
In which the federation might want of intervening
Rather so seeming
Of unpaid
Underprivileged
Unrecognised
And fully confounded
Individuals all crying
In private
For not knowing what’s become of
Our lives so monitored
As though we were all spies
Us who have
The lowest of incomes
The least of status
And bravest of faces
Is it that h-bone just decided
Of his own face lesser known
Than perhaps he once liked it
He himself might never be able so bravely face
The consequences of so many mild mannered disgraces
As his lot have painted
Upon our land our home thus defaced
As all that we have and will conquer
Of the invasion which blundered
Across our old culture
Only to find that our win
Was ever your own mind within
To our demise begin
Believe we always knew
We will survive
But have you
Invasion upon invasion
But only two
And this old h-bone character
Whose life we know of his blacker
And in white coated yellow by Adam’s plight
He has been specially attended to
For is blight was not to believe it true
That his own salvation possible for us to do
Simply by failing to believe in
The facts of what we are facing
Are that we face proud
No shame to be down
For this is our ground
Where reassurance of his salvation was ours to do
Yet still to remove
His dependence upon drugs and who use
Is that we all will too
His armies
Their food
And our own will through
